Compare Pre-Engineered Steel Building Suppliers

Choose a building type to open a sourcing inquiry. For a portal frame, send the clear span, eave height, destination and design loads. We compare the scope of shortlisted supplier offers against your brief.

What to compare after choosing a frame

For warehouses, check clear span between columns and usable height under the lowest obstruction. Door clearances, dock levellers and rack protection can shift the position of bracing. Mark those locations on the plan before you circulate an RFQ. A bidder can then identify where an alternate bay spacing changes the price.

For workshops, put crane service class, wheel loads and runway position on the same drawing. Separate the price of the portal frame from crane beams and accessories. Ask whether the quote covers rails, stops and brackets, then compare deflection criteria with the crane vendor and project engineer. For a hangar, do the same for the door, guide supports and jamb reactions.

A supplier should state the main steel grade, connection method, secondary steel coating and packing scope. Ask for plate grades by thickness and confirm how markings will follow the steel through fabrication and packing. Where wall insulation is included, specify the core, thickness in mm, target assembly U-value and the evidence required for the complete fire-rated build-up.

Request bundle dimensions and gross weight with the price. Long rafters can require a different shipping plan even when two offers cover similar floor area. Set the named delivery point and state who books freight and unloads. Quotations are compared only after material, engineering, freight and site boundaries are shown separately. Final design and fabrication remain the responsibility of the designated project parties.
